Early Detection Starts with You — Schedule Your Yearly Mammogram at SOL RADIOLOGY
Every October, pink ribbons remind us that breast cancer touches countless lives — but also that early detection saves them.
At Sol Radiology, we’re turning awareness into action by encouraging every woman in our community to make her yearly mammogram part of her wellness routine.
Because your health deserves more than awareness — it deserves consistency, care, and confidence.
Why Annual Screening Matters
Breast cancer can develop in the time between less frequent screenings. Annual mammograms allow radiologists to spot even the smallest changes from year to year — often long before symptoms appear.
According to the American Cancer Society, women who are at average cancer risk aged 45 to 54 should receive a mammogram every year, and those 40 to 44 can begin annual screening if they choose. Women 55 and older can continue yearly or switch to every two years based on doctor recommendation.

Every mammogram is a moment of empowerment — and possibly, a lifesaving one.

Who Should Get Screened Yearly?
Most women should begin annual mammograms at age 40, but you may need to start earlier if you have risk factors such as:
-
A family history of breast cancer
-
Dense breast tissue
-
Genetic mutations like BRCA1 or BRCA2
-
Previous breast biopsies or other concerns
Talk to your healthcare provider about your personal risk and the best screening plan for you.
