Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging exam that uses sound waves to create real-time images of organs, soft tissues, blood vessels, and developing babies during pregnancy. Unlike X-rays and CT scans, ultrasound does not use radiation, making it an excellent diagnostic tool for patients of all ages.
At Sol Radiology, our experienced sonographers and board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists use advanced ultrasound technology and AI-assisted imaging tools to provide accurate diagnostic imaging in a comfortable, patient-focused environment. AI technology also supports thyroid ultrasound by assisting with nodule detection and standardized risk assessment.
Most ultrasound examinations are painless and typically take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the area being examined. A specially trained sonographer will apply a warm gel to the skin and use a handheld device called a transducer to capture detailed images.
